50 Highest Paying Jobs

50 Highest Paying Jobs – Everyone wants to be paid a fair wage for what they do and that has been hard in recent years. However some jobs are still paying out the big bucks and using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics we can see what they are.

The BLS publish data on median wages and I took a look at their table creator, using May 2011 data, to summarise the top paying jobs, the top 100 are listed below. As no surprise Surgeons and medical professions lead the list with executives and oil related jobs floating near the top too!?

Obviously some science positions, sales people and airline pilots are in there too but can you spot any that shocked you? I must say I am shocked how far down aerospace engineers and nuclear engineers are. I always thought they were massive paying jobs but I guess this is just looking at median wages.

So is your job on there? Is the wage information accurate?
