A Helping Hand For Fellow Yakezie Members
Posted on by Forest in General
I’ve been away for 10 days so have a lot to catch up on and hope to be bringing a post very soon about budget travel around Egypt…. As it’s fresh in my mind.
For today I thought it would be an excellent idea to showcase some fellow members of the Yakezie Personal Finance bloggers group that I am a member of.
Yakezie was originally started to bring a group of PF bloggers together and allow us all to increase our Alexa rankings and get below the 200k mark. Thanks to Yakezie I am way under 200K at time of writing. Today I am going to showcase the 10 Yakezie members with the highest Alexa rankings in our group (fyi, like golf handicap a lower Alexa ranking is better
)…. It must also be noted that a high Alexa ranking does not mean a blog is bad by any stretch of the imagination and these are all excellent blogs.
If you want to help out these blogs then please do not hesitate to visit each one, tweet some of their posts, share on Facebook or whatever social media help you can give. Link back from your blog or simply tell a friend about them… They deserve all the attention we can give them.
So check them out and let me know what you think.
The Saved Quarter
The first thing I noticed about The Saved Quarter is the nice simple design. I am a big fan of the simple design but the content here is great too and deals with frugality and related things much like this blog. If you only visit this blog for one thing make sure you check out the awesome “Scratch vs. Store Bought” posts.
Dividend Monk
Again Dividing Monk sports a nice clean simple design. Content wise it goes into depth about stocks and various things that I don’t fully understand but I do appreciate reading about, I really need to brush up in these areas! It also deals with things such as frugality and minimalism to give a nice balanced variety. Great site.
Family Balance Sheet
With recent posts on things like Square Foot Gardening, Ham and Asparagus Risotto and How To Reduce your Grocery bill this blog is a great all rounder. I also really enjoyed the tone of the posts, another awesome Frugal read.
PF Firewall
Jesse, the man behind PF Firewall recently got asked to interview for a position at Google. Sadly he didn’t get the job but it came out of the blue and shows that the unexpected can happen at anytime! On other blog subjects Jesse delivers some great competent posts in helping us all save a little more and keep control of our finances.
Narrow Bridge
Narrow Bridge is one of the many PF blogs that documents net worth and expendature. I always love this as it allows me to see what others are doing and give myself ideas. Narrow Bridge also touches on political subjects relating to finance and wealth, I like this because many blogers (including me usually) steer well clear of this area. 20% Tax on Candy and Pop…. I think that’s an excellent idea
.
Peak Personal Finance
The immediate impression of this blog is that it’s very informative. Blogs like this are important. For example did you know that some of the aspects of the card act affect debit cards? Probably not, right?
Bible Debt
Bible Debt is one of those sites that you know is good as soon as you load up the first page. Even though it uses a very basic WordPress theme it works visually and hits you right away with interesting and original subjects…. Such as how legalizing Marijuana could help with the budget problems in the USA, great food for thought.
The Millionaire Nurse
It seems that Dr. Dean started this site to compliment his book of the same title. Originally aimed at helping nurses obtain sound Personal Finance it’s clear that Dr. Dean has reached more than just medical professionals and is producing great content useful for all of us interested in improving our financial situation.
Chasing Prosperity
Chasing Prosperity recently did something I have wanted to do for a long time, taken the plunge to invest in the stock market. This blog is fun and I am sure you will find posts such as “Thriftygal’s Top Ten Money Tunes” a great read.
Money Beagle
I have visited Money Beagle quite a few times and always had a pleasurable read. I like the net worth detail posts going on here and also the small details on saving on the little things. One recent post that really interested me was the talk about Detroit’s idea of shrinking itself.
