Cheesy Garlic Bread Recipes
Posted by Forest in Uncategorized
I absolutely adore garlic bread. It is a food that contains two of my favorite things in the world – bread and garlic. Add cheese and I am in heaven!
Mozzarella, Chedder, Swiss or a Mix
If you check out my post on garlic bread recipes you will see a very basic garlic bread and simple instructions for a cheese option. Cheeses such as Mozzarella, Chedder and Swiss can simply be melted onto the basic garlic bread recipe without anything else. It will taste supremely yummy! Of course you could one step further and throw some herbs such as basil, thyme, cumin and even chilli powder into the mix to give some interesting flavors.
Feta Cheese and Other Soft Cheeses
When preparing garlic bread with a soft cheese you can just spread on on whilst hot. However another good idea is to mix the garlic butter in with the cheese itself and then spread over the bread to produce a kind of fresh garlic bread minorly reminiscent of Borsin on toast…. But nicer.
Hallumi Cheese
Hallumi is a very salty but yummy cheese from Cyprus. If you have not tried it already, you really must do so right now! It is weird as it doesn’t melt. So grill your garlic bread a little first before applying this cheese just to soften it slightly under the grill.
I would love to know what garlic bread recipes, with cheese or without, that you prepare and any special tricks that you may have.
