Costliest Health Conditions
Costliest Health Conditions – Surprisingly (or unsurprisingly), some of the costliest health conditions in America are completely preventable. What medical conditions the nation spends the most money on are mostly the result of lifestyle choices. Billions upon billions are spent every year on heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol– health conditions resulting from poor diet and sedentary lifestyle.
Of course some people are victim to these health conditions through no fault of their own, but it’s safe to say that with the majority of Americans being overweight, we’re responsible for this money being poured into treatments.

Adopting a healthier lifestyle is a definite way to prevent participating in these billions. Not only is it better for your body, after all, but it’s also better for your wallet. The majority of people who file for bankruptcy have been pushed to the state of financial ruin by medical bills. What’s worse– 2/3 of these people had health insurance.
