I’m talking about Earth Hour, where individual people, families, groups and businesses pledge to turn off their lights for one hour. You can still keep your telly, computer and heating on if you need to, but the lights go off.

It will be like an amazing electrical Mexican Wave racing around the World in support of finding solutions to Global Warming. Showing the Worlds leaders they are flying in the face of the people who have put them there, by supporting the big oil and power companies in their wasting of natural resources. All of which are key reasons to getting as many people as possible to sign the pledge.

As I write this the clock is counting down, and I have 4 days, 18 hours, 30 minutes, before I turn my lights off, and in the mean time, I have to tell as many people as I can, because I really do think this is very important.

In the ‘70’s oil company’s smothered new technology that could have replaced petrol by now, buying out the patents and locking them away. Some are getting dusted off now, but that is forty years on, we could have had thirty years of petrol free driving in that time! Those same people have been putting pressure on politicians who have wanted to change that.

If enough people turn off their lights on the 28^th, the message that the man on the ground isn’t going to take any more power hungry idiots ruining the Planet any more, and we do have options!
