As many of you know Estate Tax was dropped throughout 2010 and it gave a lot of dying rich people incentive to keep pushing blood through their veins until this year. I am not exactly sure how many people lived longer so they could pass more of their fortunes onto their heirs but in an interesting twist people may now be seen to be being encouraged to die before 31st December 2010!!

Estate Tax 2010 News, An Interesting Turn!

Basically Estate Tax was frozen for 2010 only. This means that without a congressional law change that on 1st January 2010 Estate Tax will be making it’s big come back with the top bracket being a whopping 55%. Theoretically the dying rich guys and girls would do their heirs a favor by departing before this date.

Could the Estate Tax change incite murder?

Ok this is a bit far but think about it. You are due for a huge sum of money from a dying relative. They are on their last legs. a few months to go and they can only be comforted in their last days. If their last days go over the threshold you would lose up to 55% of that cash. An act of murder or denying some treatment could fix that problem! I would never do such a thing but I can almost guarantee someone will.
