Fattiest Foods in America
Ok I admit it, i’m sitting on the Upper West side of NYC sipping a black coffee trying to digest a huge meal I just stuffed with friends in a small Greek diner on the east side of Central Park on Madison Avenue. It was only a vege wrap and fries but it was dripping with grease, of course I cannot deny it was absolutely yummy.
This kind of food is very common in New York City and throughout the United States. I’m not a small man but some areas I have visited make me feel like Tom Thumb, yes American’s seem tall but they often have a width to match too and I must say some of the fattiest foods I have ever encountered are regular fair throughout America.

America is supposedly the land of the free and in some ways you could maybe attribute this sense of freedom as to how it also became the land of excess with restaurants seemingly one upping each other with ever more artery damaging foods on offer. Of course most places fein a poor attempt at a small healthy sub menu but the lure of a dripping 1/2pounder burger often means they are not the most popular menu items.
So even in a country of huge food excess there are some clear winners and an article in Yahoo Health showcased 6 extremely fatty foods sourced from the new book Eat This Not That, 2012. Let’s take a look at them.

Just imagine throwing in an appetizer, a large coke, a desert and an coffee with cream. One meal would easily exceed 3000 calories, your entire allowed amount for a day!
The biggest thing when it comes to consuming the fattiest foods is to do so as treats, I think almost anything as a exception rather than the rule is just fine and we should be able to have the freedom to enjoy such things. Of course so many of us just do it far too much and it’s not just an outwards appearance in harms way. Our insides get destroyed by the intense unhealthy foods and we seriously need to find a way to get everyone to cut back and make better eating decisions.
How do you think we should achieve that?
