For Years I Didn’t Know How To Save Money…

Saving your hard earned cash for the future can be terribly hard work.  Especially when you worked so hard for it and you just want to relax with a little something special… be it a new toy, socialising or anything that empties that account at twice the speed you fill it up!

I used to be terrible at this. Even though I earned a good wage I just did not know How To Save Money! At the end of every month my wages would be completely spent. The last few days would be agony with no cash at all. Then as my bank started to enjoy my spending habits they opened up temptation with the magic of an overdraft! I bit and at the end of each month I would just get to the end of the overdraft…. so it increased and on and on this cycle went!

Learning how to save money is important!

I would convince myself that I could find a way out of the mess, next month, next mont, always next bleeding month! But my heart just was not in it!

It was no one’s fault but mine but…. I had never learned about conserving and saving my cash. No finance classes at school, no pep talks from my parents, nothing! I was on my own here and I had to learn fast as I had debt!

The first step is to become accountable for yourself. You need to admit the debt is your fault and stop feeling that the lifestyle you lead is your right! You need to cut out all those expenses that push you into your overdraft and start having money left at the end of the month.

Trust me, it’s liberating!
