Save the money for YOU!Here is a tip: buy those goofy looking energy efficient lightbulbs. They look goofy, but they will save you money. Why line the electricity companies pockets, keep the money for yourself.Another tip: open up curtains or blinds and let the light in. Do you really need the lights on during the day if the room is flooded with natural light?Final tip: shop carefully. Did you know that at the dollar store you can buy a 10-pack of pencils for only $1.00 - but did you ALSO know that you can buy those same pencils (in fact a 12 pack) from most other stores for $0.69.Although it takes a bit of work, once you get into the habit of watching where you spend your money you will learn to appreciate the deals that can be found if you look hard enough.Sorry - have to share this one as well. Did you buy something, that either broke or didn't work right? COMPLAIN ABOUT IT! Most companies value their reputation and will bend over backward to help make it right. My sons crib broke and he fell out - he wasn't hurt, just shaken up. I contacted the manufacturer and they offered me ANY crib in their product line. I picked a $1,000.00 crib that they paid to have delivered AND set-up for me! The crib that I had bought originally was only around $150 or $200.Mohamed

I see “frugal living” this way – why line the pockets of utility companies, water companies or anyone else?
