Here are a couple if Garlic Bread Recipes that I thought would interest my readers. Garlic bread is simply amazing because it includes two of my favorites things….. Garlic….. and Bread! Yum!!!
In essences there is no need for a ton of garlic bread recipes because it’s simple thing but you can vary the bread, the amount of garlic, the oil used and the toppings. So here are some of my favorite.
Simple Garlic Bread
- 1 Long French Bread Stick
- 1/2lb Butter
- 5-15 cloves garlic
- A dash of olive oli
Method:
Chop the garlic finely and the heat a pan to medium heat. Put in a dash of olive oil and lightly roast the chopped garlic for a few minutes. Then slowly heat the butter in a pan and add the garlic, stir until the mixture is well mixed and take it off the heat.
Pre-heat the oven (350degrees). Chop the French Stick into 3/4 inch slices and layout on a baking tray. spread some of the butter mixture onto each piece of bread. Put it into the oven for around 5-10 minutes until the breads are all lightly toasted, and then serve immediately!
Cheesy Basic Garlic Bread
Use the same recipe as above but after 1 or two minutes of toasting add chedder cheese to the top of each piece of bread and continue toasting.
Garlic Toast With Roasted Red Pepper.
I love this one!!
- 1 fresh square loaf
- Garlic butter mixture from the basic garlic bread recipe above
- Half of a medium red pepper for each piece of toast
- Olive oil
- Chedder Cheese
Method:
First make the red peppers, cut each pepper in half. Deseed and get rid of the white stuff inside. Heat a pan with a little oil to a high heat and lay each pepper onto the pan for a few minuted per side. The peppers will become soft and slightly burned on each side.
Now cut the bread into thick slices. Spread the top with the garlic butter mix. Add the Red Pepper and then top with cheese.
Heat the oven to 350degrees and bake the slices for 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bread is slightly toasted.
Garlic bread can be varied a million ways, pizza base with garlic butter and cheese is great. Also various herbs work well so experiment with these in the butter.
Let me know what you think.
