NBC adds to Netflix

I love Netflix and I must say I really miss it here in Egypt. I missed it a lot whilst I was in Canada too but that has been rectified now as they recently launced. Sadly I doubt they will be launching here anytime soon.
Anyway back to the point of the post….
Netflix’s online straming availability is about to grow with an increasing deal with NBC set to bring an absolute barrage of their shows to the online streaming. This will include shows like 30 Rock, The Office, Battlestar Galactica, Law & Order: SUV and many more. Many will be available the day after they aired and I really think this will pave the way for other networks to make the same deals creating a genuine competitor to having cable or even a television.
With so many shows and an ever increasing movie library available through Netflix I absolutely doubt I will be buying a television and signing up to cable when I next find myself in North America. My laptop has a great screen and good audio through headphones or external speakers.
Just think a $50 cable bill can be dropped and for $8.99 you can have a 1 DVD by mail rotation (so maybe 1 a week or 2 a week if post is good) and access to all online streaming content.
This kind of service is really helping us minimalists enjoy an easier life
.
What do you think about NBC’s new deal with Netflix, is it enough to make you drop your cable subscription?

I was wondering why L&O: SVU was all on Netflix! I mean, every single season is on there except the latest one! It’s pretty great. Our cable basically costs us nothing with our Internet package, but if it ever goes up, we’ll be using Netflix exclusively.
