New Releases at Blockbuster

There is good news for anyone who likes blockbuster as many Warner new releases at blockbuster will be exclusive for 28 days stopping other competitors such as Redbox and Netflix carrying the new titles. This has already helped to stave off rumors that Blockbuster will go completely under and they are beginning to pull in profit again.

I would actually be quite sad if Blockbuster Video went under as I have fond teenage memories of wandering around the store looking for interesting and rare rentals. Their size was much bigger than any local store so they had some crazy movies I have never heard off. I could also rent video games for my game gear which was cool too.

Fast forward to now and I still have a fondness for them and make use of them every now and then. Although I love the online alternatives and the rental kiosks there is nothing like going to the video store, sadly most of the tiny independents are gone now so we are relying on Blockbuster to keep this alive!

We loving renting DVD’s as it’s much cheaper than going to the bar or eating out at a restaurant!
