Quick Cash For Your Old Wedding Stuff

This post is NOT sponsored in anyway, I just thought Recycled Bride was pretty cool!
It’s probably a bit late for you to use this to gather up some cash for Christmas now but I recently received a mail from a guy named Robert, the co-founder of Recycled Bride. However your post Christmas financial status may not be that great and with all the Spring weddings approaching this may be a way for you to gather a little cash together and keep the ship sailing a bit smoother through the early part of the year.
Recycled Bride basically is a marketplace like Ebay but they offer no fees or commissions and allow you to sell off (or buy) lightly used wedding items such as Dresses, Tuxedo’s, Jewelry, Decor and all things related to getting married.
You may well have boxes and boxes of this stuff gathering dust in your attic and if you think there is no use for it then why not see if it can earn you a little needed cash. In Robert’s email he claimed that you could directly connect with Millions of people searching for items. Considering that he was sending the email encouraging me to put stuff up for sale there I assume they have plenty of people coming to buy…. maybe not millions but thousands for sure.
Now they offer you to sell for no fee or commission which is awesome so I wanted to see what their incentive to run this marketplace was. It looks like they simply make cash from sponsorship and advertising affiliate offers (just like me here), maybe Robert could comment here and clarify that.
Their website looks nice, I love the idea and although I don’t have any use for it myself I thought I would pass on Robert’s invitation for me to look at it onto you guys.
Let me know what you think and if you use it please come back and let me know what the experience was like.
You can visit the site here: Recycled Bride.
Thanks,
Forest.

Hey there, thanks for the writeup! We don’t charge any fees or commissions, and our revenue comes from ads and affiliate offers, just like you said. We also donate 15% of all ad revenue to Global Green USA!

PreOwnedWeddingDresses.com is another great website for selling your wedding dress. I actually sold my own dress on the site for $1300. They have a fee of $25 (which is I guess how they make their money), but it was totally worth it. The site was written about in the Wall Street Journal as the best site to sell your dress….and from my own experience, I have to say it was a good one.

@Robert, my pleasure… I don’t often write about companies (especially uncompensated) but thought it was useful info for the readers.
@Meredith, thanks for the 2nd recommendation, it’s always good to have a few options with these things. I guess you could always post on both sites and see what sells first (unless there are rules against such things).
