Re-Starting The Frugal Zeitgeist Frugal Living Forum
Posted by Forest in General News
It’s easy to keep writing and preaching and giving my point of view but what I really enjoy is when people leave comments, send me emails and teach me things, challenge my thinking and generally socialize. This is the best thing about the awesome Frugal community that thrives on the web.
A while back I did a soft launch of a forum for this website…. In all honesty it bombed and I did not push it enough to really get a community going. Just this morning I was thinking about it again. I found people were coming to this site looking for Pam Coupons. I don’t have any posts on Pam Coupons and I didn’t want to write an entire post on one coupon…. So I made the decision to give the forum another go. This would be the perfect thing to add as a forum post amongst a million other things I can think of.
So it should be a week or so but I really wanted some feedback. Either here in the comments or by email. What would make you use my forum, what would you like to see? what base topics should we have?… What else can you think of?
I would really love you all to be a part of this so I hope to hear from you all…

Forest…yeah, I’d forgotten about your forum. Shame on you.
A great idea. I have an idea for you. There are quite a few regulars that follow you…why not offer the forum as a network for each of us to use with our websites? We would place a link that would bring your site up. That way we can use the power of multiple blogs to build the forum…a true community.
I have a site that should be launched this month called livingonadime.ca and would love to have a community and forum “built in’ where we can share and help each other grow. Oh…and I’d be happy to be an admin if you need one.
Have a great weekend…

Ha ha, don’t worry I will work hard on it this time. Thanks for the offer of admin, I have no idea if it will ever get busy enough for that but I hope it will!
Looking forward to your site a lot.
I would absolutely offer others the chance to use my forum and even give people their own areas if they really wanted. I’m not sure how many people would like to send traffic away from their site but it’s always worth asking and I would have to work out a way to give back to contributors.
