Frugality, Minimalism and all that, Why?
I used to be quite a mess in a lot of ways. As a young man you would sometimes have to push my door open with force to get into my bedroom. I was untravelled and typically happy to just spend all my money.
However something changed in me. I ran up debts and decided I wanted to get out of my standard life. So I gave up a high paying job, moved from UK to Canada and started working for minimum wage.
After realising pretty quickly i could no longer be messy and couldn't afford to be wasteful with money the need to be minimal and frugal sort of enforced itself on me. As the years went on I realised I didn't need stuff or to spend money to be happy. Even as my financial situation got better I found I didn't spend much more!
My thirst for travel continued and the minimalism fit in well with that too! We don't need stuff and we don't need to spend all the money on fancy things!
