If you’re unfamiliar with the site and what they have to offer, have no fear! Getting access to Groupon deals on a regular basis is easy to set up and won’t take up more than a few minutes of your time.

Conceived in 2008 by Chicag0-native Andrew Mason, Groupon is a website that offers daily deals to subscribers in their area as long as a certain number of people purchase it. As the name suggests, the daily deal is a “group coupon”. The company boasts that they help people save on average 50-90% on everything from food, beauty products, to even vacations.

Currently Groupon exists all over the United States, parts of Europe and Asia. The company is estimated to be worth about $312.9 million.

So, how can you “spot” these Groupon deals?

*  Sign up with your email and city/zip code and then receive their daily newsletter with the deals available to you.

Or

*  Visit their website daily and sift through: featured deal, all deals, now deals, getaways and goods.

And

* If you’re looking to spot more Groupon deals, considering signing up for the newsletter for multiple cities nationwide rather than limiting yourself to just your local area.

I don’t use Groupon or any of the other sites very often, but I have a lot of friends who have. Recently my friend and his girlfriend got a Groupon got a pottery & wine class for $25 a person. They had a great time– which just goes to show that some of these deals give you opportunities to try new things that you wouldn’t normally get to try.

I love coupons– and so should you! They are awesome ways to save some serious money, and sometimes have fun on a dime.
