Unique Christmas Gift Ideas

1196031_50234344I expect that I will get the call soon….. “What Would You Like For Christmas”…. The answer will always be the same from me. That answer is “I really don’t know, I don’t need anything”.

The poor people trying to find me a present often end up buying a pair of socks or something similar but maybe they need to think of some Unique Christmas Gift Ideas to deal with the likes of people like me!

But thinking up unique ideas is not as easy as saying that’s what people should do. So here are some ideas to get your brain working. Let me know what you think or if you have anything to add.

1. Cook a meal. I love food as do many other people. I’d probably much rather be treated to a meal that I have never tried before than a pair of southpark socks!

2. Build them a blog. Many of you reading this already blog. Building a website or blog for someone could be an awesome gift and not a big expense at all.

3. Take them on a trip to a new place. Bundle them into your car a few days after xmas and treat them to a trip to a place they have never even thought of going. It could be a hidden local hike or even a museum or event.

4. Buy them a marathon entry! If they have been wanting to get fit, buy them an entry into a race and this will push them to get fit. Even better, do it with them!

5. Make them some jewelry. Jewelry supplies are actually pretty cheap and some cool pieces can be made just with a stone and a nice necklace cord.

Man – to me this is what gifts are all about. Memorable. Unique. Thoughtful.

It’s easy to go out and by someone a video game, or order a book from Amazon.

I’m building a blog for my friends new book he’s finishing – his gift this year will be the blog and an angry bottle of Jack Daniels…

We decorate these inexpensive school notebooks to give them a personalized touch. I made one for a friend and I also hand-lettered a meaningful quote on the bottom of each page for a personalized blank journal.

Hey DeputyHeadmistress, thank you for your comment. That’s a really nice and time consuming gesture that is far better than receiving a mass print journal.

With the current economy, not many people can afford to buy gifts for the love ones. It is not easy when you need to buy gifts for a big family. So this year we decided to make homemade gifts like bath frizz, bath salts , cookies and etc to be given as gifts. I feel these kind of gifts more meaningful and unique rather than to pick something from the shelf.

Thanks for sharing and Merry Christmas :)

Those are some great and unique Christmas gifts ideas. The only other thing I can think of right now would be a massage. Both the give and receiver can enjoy these!
