Weirdest Celebrity Baby Names - Whether or not it’s done for media attention, the children of celebrities often have some of the weirdest names out there, probably because they’re so famous they can get away with it.

It almost seems like if you’re  celebrity you’re going against some unspoken rule if you want to name your kids John or Mary. If you have celebrity status than your kids better have names to match.

Below is a list of some of the names that have graced headlines. While some names you may find very cool, admittedly to be on this list they’re a little weird.

Weirdest Celebrity Baby Names:

Apple Blythe Alison Martin - Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband Chris Martin wanted to name their daughter something pretty… and apparently delicious. Paltrow has also been making headlines by questioning the Bible on her website.

Dweezel and Moon Unit Zappa – The infamous Frank Zappa didn’t hold back when naming his children.

Axel Lee McElhenney - Costars and spouses of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia recently had their first baby together and named him Azel. Maybe after the rocker?

Pilot Inspektor – Jason Lee’s kid has a name that makes him seem as though he has a career path from day one.

Sage Moonblood - The creator of Rocky and face of Rambo Sylvester Stallone also is responsible for giving his child this very dramatic name.

Kal-El – Nicholas Cage loves Superman and so he named his son this when, of course, he could’ve just gone with Clark.

Prince Michael II, aka Blanket Jackson – Poor Blanket. There’s nothing worse than having an inanimate object be your nickname nationwide. And not a particularly cool one either.

I suppose celebrities feel as though they’re kids won’t get picked on at school because they have famous parents. I hope that’s true, because I really think that some of these names are pretty intense. It’s difficult to imagine introducing yourself as Moon Unit to new people and be taken seriously. I suppose if it’s all you know, and your Dad is Frank Zappa, it’s less of a big deal.
