There is a lot of talk about owning homes but to be honest I actually like renting, it gives me a certain amount of freedom and many people are now saying that buying may not be as good as an investment as it seems.

When renting it is imperative to find the cheapest places to rent if you want to maximize your hard earned cash and make it worthwhile. You want somewhere nice to live but it’s not worth going overboard. So just establishing what size apartment or house is just the right size for you and anyone accompanying you is a very first step. From here you will be able to go and find somewhere with an exact specification in mind.

It’s also important to widen your range and even consider nearby towns and cities that are commutable to your job. If you move somewhere completely new you may even find you can get by with just one partner working and the other can live a more homestead style of life… I would stay at home and do this, if possible!

Although you may sometimes find an unbelievable looking deal many of the cheapest places to live may be in dangerous areas, so always do a lot of research before settling on a place. As they say… if an offer is too good to be true, it is often too good to be true!
