A budget spreadsheet can vary vastly depending on what you need it to do. My finances are very simple so I don’t need any crazy cool bells and whistles, but if you have many many accounts, properties, stocks and more you may need something special.

No matter what you need it’s likely you can find what what you need for free. I wrote about places to find a free budget spreadsheet but I am also interested in knowing where you have found yours?

I’ll be honest my budget is so simple that I hardly update my spreadsheets but I do want to make big changes in these areas, I want to try and micro manage a few areas such as extra expenses (buying sweets every now and then and splurges). If it’s on the budget sheet then I am accountable in writing and I will be put off the idea of spending on unneeded things.
